Tales from Chinese temple in Mumbai.....so reddddd....so niceeee!!!!!

So, out we go exploring the city yet again. Me and my friend Aarti decided why be part of the (now a too commercial festival) Kalaghoda Festival and decided to go to a quite corner of Mumbai to a Chinese Temple ( we believe this one is the only one in Mumbai)...So well this temple known as Kwan Tai Shek is located in a quite lane of Dockyard Road. You need to go asking for a Tank Road and ask anybody and they will help you find it. The preferred time of going to this place is in the morning around 8:30 when the temple is usually open. We went  late afternoon and to our disappointment it was close. But we nevertheless when up the stairs and on the first floor of the building found an aunty who suprisingly decided to open the temple for us, and yes it was after a sweet and genuine request. The temple is on the second floor of the building and the brilliant red with golden linings kind of takes you to another time. The temple to dedicated to Lord Kuan Kung (will attach a picture).

It was a nice weekend. The lessons we both learnt > > > its important to do things on weekends (not shopping) but things close to your heart to keep your creative side and your heart alive in this highly useless competitive life.

Once I get time, Ill be back with more tales from Chinese Temple and We took a lot of pictures!!!!! For now a little glimpse.......

Mom's got an idea sirji.............

My mom dad still lives in their own sweet world, and yes like everybody in that generation, they know how computer, laptop looks like but well that is almost what they know about it. Apple, blackberry are just fruits to them. So today I get a call from mom asking if I have 3G in my phone. I was stunned for sometime. Well, the story behind!! She wanted to buy a sweater for me, but since she knows that I might say that the style is outdated and not end up wearing it, she really wanted to be sure, so she wanted us sisters to see it. I'm guessing that this classic idea was suggested by the shopkeeper MR. KNOW ALL.........LOL..........So anyways, she supposedly sent a picture to my eldest sister but till today we have not got it............but isn't it amazing how out parents are trying to catch up with the technology around us......I love them and I would definitely slow down......and hope technology slows down or reach a level where everyone feels one.......(This happened on 18/11/2011)..............just wanted to remember the date......
